Christmas tree types at Enchanted Valley Acres, LLC:

The Balsam Fir is a native of Wisconsin. It is considered a short-needled tree with superb fragrance. The aroma from the Balsam fir that fills your home throughout the holiday season is one of the main selling points of the tree. If kept well-watered, needle retention is excellent.

The Canaan Fir is native to Virginia and West Virginia. It is unique in that it shares the best characteristics of the Fraser Fir and Balsam Fir. The needles are soft, short, and rounded with dark green topside and a silver underneath with sturdy branches. The Canaan Fir has great needle retention and fragrance.

The Fraser Fir is native to the Appalachian Mountain region. This short-needled tree has a pleasant fragrance but not as intense as the Balsam fir. Strong branches with a silvery underside, along with excellent needle retention, have made this Christmas tree a top-seller in the market.

The White Pine is native to Wisconsin and is considered a long-needled tree with soft needles as long as five inches. This tree offers a slight yet pleasant fragrance. Small ornaments, lights and garland are the preferred decorations for this tree, as the branches are very flexible and do not easily withstand heavy ornaments.
